This award is given to top-performing Local Government Units in the country that carry outstanding initiatives to eradicate the illicit trafficking of dangerous drugs and illegal substances, this includes their efforts to implement awareness and prevention education programs in achieving the common goal of a drug-free Philippines.
LGUs were also chosen based on the percentage of completion rate of Persons in recovery who graduate and the number of enrollees at their respective Community-Based Drug Rehabilitation Program (CBDRP).
Dangerous Drugs Board Chairman Catalino Cuy delivered a message during the opening program emphasizing the important roles of ADAC in the realization of the Philippine Anti-Illegal Strategy (PADS).
Present during the event are DILG Secretary Benjamin Abalos, Jr., Senator Ronald “Bato” Dela Rosa, DDB Undersecretary Earl Saavedra, PDEA Director General Moro Virgilio Lazo, DILG Undersecretaries, Assistant Secretaries, Regional Directors and other officers from line National Government Agencies.
