The Philippine delegation, which received the Chairship of the 9th ASEAN Ministerial Meeting on Drug Matters from the Lao People’s Democratic Republic, has formally brought the Chairship home.
The ASEAN flag is now with the Dangerous Drugs Board Chairperson – Secretary Oscar Valenzuela, symbolizing the AMMD Chairship under the Philippine leadership.
As the Philippines’ lead policy-making and coordinating body on drug prevention and control, the DDB steers the country’s engagement at the national, regional, and international levels. In line with this mandate, the DDBassumed the Chairship of the upcoming AMMD—ASEAN’s highest policy-level platform on drug-related concerns.
