Ideas have the power to shape conversations, strengthen communities, and create new ways of reaching people through prevention and support.

In line with the observance of the 2026 International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking (IDADAIT), the Dangerous Drugs Board launches the “DDB Hackathon: Design the DDB Mobile App Challenge” — an initiative that encourages Filipino innovators, students, creatives, and young developers to design mobile application concepts that promote drug abuse prevention education, mental health and well-being, public awareness, and community engagement.

The challenge highlights the role of digital innovation in developing accessible, interactive, and people-centered solutions for healthier and safer communities.

Open to Filipino individuals and teams aged 18–30 years old, selected finalists will advance to the Final Pitch and Judging and compete for cash prizes and recognition during the IDADAIT 2026 Main Event.

Check the poster for more details on the eligibility requirements, app development tracks, submission requirements, prizes, and important dates.

Participants are also encouraged to watch out for the upcoming detailed post on the official mechanics, technical guidelines, and contest requirements, and submission of entries to the DDB Hackathon.
