Chairman of the Dangerous Drugs Board, Catalino Cuy, delivered a country statement during the 67th Session of the Commission on Narcotic Drugs (CND) in Vienna, Austria. He highlighted the direction of the government’s drug abuse prevention and control initiatives, outlining the efforts in strengthening treatment and rehabilitation in the Philippines under the Marcos Administration.
In his country statement, Chairman Cuy also emphasizes the importance of solid international ties through collaborative efforts made to curb the drug problem across the globe, including the accomplishments of the Philippine Anti-Illegal Drugs Strategy.
Joining him in this engagement were esteemed senior officials from the Permanent Mission of the Philippines to Vienna, Austria headed by Ambassador Evangelina Lourdes “Luli” Arroyo-Bernas. Additionally, representatives from Office of the Philippine Center for Transnational Crime, Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency, and the Office of the Solicitor’s General were present as part of the Philippine delegate.
