Over 70 students graduated from the College Education Behind Bars (CEBB) program at Davao City Jail for the academic year 2023-2024. This initiative has provided Persons Deprived of Liberty (PDLs) with the opportunity to earn university diplomas, representing a significant milestone toward a brighter future.

The establishment of a new campus at Davao Prison and Penal Farm, through the partnership between the Social Entrepreneurship, Technology, Business Institute Inc., Davao Del Norte State College, and the Bureau of Corrections, has been instrumental in expanding CEBB’s reach and impact.

With the funding assistance of the Dangerous Drugs Board (DDB) and logistical support of the Commission on Higher Education (CHED), the construction of the building, furnishing of the classrooms with essential resources, and provision of learning tools, the CEBB continues to transform lives, offering pathways to self-improvement and contributing to nation-building efforts.

The Dangerous Drugs Board remains resolute in its support for such initiatives, ensuring successful reintegration and empowering PDLs to become productive and contributing members of society.
