The Dangerous Drugs Board (DDB), together with the Benguet Police Provincial Office (PPO) and local chief executives of Kibungan, Kapangan, and Bakun, continues to strengthen coordinated efforts addressing illegal marijuana cultivation in Benguet through both enforcement and community-based development approaches.
Recent discussions under OPLAN “Ultimate Grasscutter 2026” highlighted ongoing initiatives that pair marijuana eradication operations with proposed livelihood, tourism, and infrastructure support for affected upland communities.
The initiative aims to help create more sustainable opportunities for geographically isolated communities while supporting long-term local development efforts.
