The Department of Education (DepEd) Davao Del Sur, through its Youth Formation Division, organized the Barkada Kontra Droga (BKD) Youth Camp on February 25-26 2023 at the Marcos P. Saez Elementary School.

Michael Miatari, Executive Assistant of the Office of the Executive Director of the Dangerous Drugs Board (DDB), graced the event with an opening message for the 294 BKD student leaders and 90 BKD advisers.

The youth camp is intended to provide fun-filled and meaningful activities as well as build a culture of camaraderie, leadership, and accountability for all teacher-advisers and students actively working in the preventive drug education efforts in the schools.

The BKD program is one of the flagship programs of the DDB in partnership with DepEd.
