Deputy Executive Director for Operations Asec. Maria Belen Angelita V. Matibag of the Dangerous Drugs Board led the four-day training on Drug Abuse Prevention Education for the At-Risk Population and Indigenous People in Kidapawan City from May 23-26, 2023.

The seminar is a joint effort between DDB, the local government of Kidapawan City, and the Department of Education Region 12 which aims to provide appropriate knowledge and information on the prevention of drug use for the marginalized population.

50 participants composed of indigenous Alternative Learning System (ALS) learners and National Drug Education Program (NDEP) coordinators attended the training.

Present in the event are Provincial Board Member Joseph Arellano Evangelista from District II, Province of Cotabato and Schools Division Superintendent of Kidapawan City Dr. Natividad G. Ocon, CESO VI.
