To reinforce the government’s grassroots-level efforts in treatment and rehabilitation, the Dangerous Drugs Board (DDB), in collaboration with the Provincial Government of Ilocos Norte and the City Government of Batac, spearheaded the inauguration of the newly constructed Community-Based Drug Rehabilitation Center in Batac City, Ilocos Norte.
This milestone event highlights the administration of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.’s continuing commitment to advancing health-centered responses to substance use through accessible and community-based interventions. The facility is envisioned to serve as a safe, structured environment for individuals on the path to recovery and reintegration—equipping them with the support needed to rebuild their lives and become productive members of society.
Governor-elect Cecilia Araneta Marcos expressed the provincial government’s strong support for sustained and inclusive drug prevention and rehabilitation initiatives. The DDB, for its part, reaffirmed its dedication to strengthening partnerships with local government units to scale up the delivery of rehabilitation services and expand preventive education nationwide.
