Undersecretary Earl P. Saavedra of the Dangerous Drugs Board (DDB) led the inauguration of the Baeay Pagbag-o in Kalibo Aklan, a community based drug treatment and rehabilitation facility, last March 18. Kalibo Mayor Juris Sucro and Councilor Philip Kimpo, the project proponent, also joined the said event.Â
Five million pesos were funded by the DDB for the completion of the said facility where mild and moderate drug dependents can avail treatment programs and interventions.
The Local Government Unit of Kalibo also aims to make Baeay Pabag-o a referral facility for other municipalities of Aklan province to refer Persons Who Used Drugs (PWUDs) for proper interventions.
