The Dangerous Drugs Board, led by Undersecretary-Executive Director Earl Saavedra CESO I, joined the successful conduct of the Ilocos Norte Drug Education Summit held in Laoag City last April 1.

The Inter-Agency organizing committee showcased topics on the medical aspects of drug use, legal aspects of the government’s anti-drug campaign, and advocacy-centered talks such as DILG’s BIDA Program, and PNP’s Kabataan Kontra Droga at Terorismo.

Laoag City Mayor Michael Marcos Keon graced the opening program of the activity while Governor Matthew Marcos Manotoc gave his message as the Guest of Honor during the closing ceremony. 

The said summit aims to create awareness on the ill effects of drug abuse and the destructive influence of drugs on people, especially the youth.
