Dangerous Drugs Board (DDB) Chairperson – Secretary Oscar Valenzuela paid a courtesy visit to Las Piñas Representative – Congressman Mark Anthony Santos, the newly elected Chairperson of the House Committee on Dangerous Drugs, to discuss legislative measures in support of the country’s drug prevention and control agenda.
The discussion centered on the Board’s policy priorities and the Committee’s legislative agenda, identifying areas where congressional action can reinforce key policy initiatives on drug prevention and control.
Congressman Santos assumed the chairmanship of the House Committee on Dangerous Drugs following the House leadership reorganization in July 2026, while Secretary Valenzuela was reappointed by President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. as DDB Chairperson on 05 July 2026.
The meeting signals the alignment of the Committee’s legislative agenda with the Board’s policy priorities, including the continued implementation of the Enhanced Philippine Anti-Illegal Drugs Strategy (E-PADS).
