The Dangerous Drugs Board (DDB) joined the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) in recognizing outstanding law enforcers and vigilant citizens during the awarding ceremony for Operation: Lawmen and Operation: Private Eye — initiatives that highlight the power of partnership between government and the public in fostering safe, healthy, and drug-resilient communities.
Operation: Lawmen, under DDB Regulation No. 1, Series of 2016, grants recognition and rewards to law enforcement personnel whose dedication and professionalism in major anti-drug operations lead to the seizure of dangerous drugs, apprehension of high-value targets, and successful case filing.
Operation: Private Eye, strengthened through DDB Board Regulation No. 6, Series of 2023 and anchored on Section 20(b) of Republic Act No. 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002), encourages citizens to confidentially share drug-related information. Credible tips that lead to successful operations are eligible for rewards — but the true value lies in contributing to the safety and well-being of one’s community.
The DDB commends this year’s awardees for their courage, and exemplary commitment, and calls on all Filipinos to be active partners in prevention and community vigilance.
When you speak up, you protect lives. When you act, you defend your community.
