The Dangerous Drugs Board joined the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency in destroying close to P 6 Billion worth of Dangerous Drugs in Cavite including Shabu and Dimethyl Sulfone seizures in Manila International Container Port (MICP) and Pampanga.
Majority of the illegal drugs destroyed were 471,478.0639 grams of shabu and 312,993.9424 grams of Marijuana, and 208,909.00 grams of Dimethyl Sulfone. Among the illicit drugs that were part of the disposed stockpile, there were 274 kilograms of methamphetamine hydrochloride (shabu) that had been confiscated at the MICP on October 6, 2023, as well as 208 kilograms of Dimethyl Sulfone – a “cutting agent” for shabu and had been recovered by the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) in Mabalacat, Pampanga on August 25, 2023.
The destroyed dangerous drugs are evidence seized from anti-drug operations conducted by PDEA together with the Philippine National Police (PNP), NBI, and other counterpart law enforcement and military units.
The swift prosecution of drug cases and rapid inventory, testing and presentation of seized drug evidence enabled the courts to order the immediate destruction of these dangerous drugs.
