The Dangerous Drugs Board (DDB), under the leadership of Chairperson- Secretary Oscar Valenzuela, received two cheques amounting to ₱10 million from the Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation (PAGCOR), pursuant to the mandatory contribution provisions under Republic Act No. 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.

The contribution will support the continuing implementation of programs related to drug treatment, rehabilitation, aftercare, and recovery support services across the country. Through these funds, the DDB facilitates financial assistance to local and regional partners involved in the operation and enhancement of treatment and rehabilitation facilities, including community-based recovery initiatives.

The support also helps sustain interventions that recognize recovery as a long-term process requiring accessible health services, social support systems, and opportunities for reintegration. Alongside prevention and rehabilitation efforts, these initiatives form part of the broader national response that promotes evidence-informed and community-based approaches in addressing the drug situation.

As implementation continues across national and local levels, the DDB remains committed to ensuring that resources provided under the law are directed toward programs that strengthen recovery systems and expand support mechanisms for individuals and families affected by substance use.
