The Dangerous Drugs Board (DDB) received a ₱17,430,072 check from the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO), a significant contribution toward building drug abuse treatment and rehabilitation centers (DTRCs) nationwide. These centers are essential in providing the necessary health interventions to overcome substance abuse disorders and rebuilding their lives with dignity and support.
As mandated by the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 (RA 9165), PCSO allocates 40% of its Charity Fund to support vital health programs, including initiatives in substance abuse prevention and rehabilitation. This partnership between DDB and PCSO reflects the government’s steadfast commitment to strengthening public health infrastructure and expanding access to health, social, and development services for those in need.
