Recognizing the vital role of the families in educating members about the ill-effects of dangerous drugs, the Dangerous Drugs Board (DDB) in collaboration with the Office of the Provincial Government of Cagayan conducted the Parent-Youth Resource Against Drug Abuse (PYRADA) Seminar-Workshop in Tuguegarao City.

This event aimed to empower parents in strengthening their family bonds and in safeguarding their children from the risks of drug abuse and to provide a platform for meaningful discussions between the parents and the youth about preventive strategies. Additionally, the workshop supported the creation of a joint parent-youth association, which will support the Provincial Government and Local Government Units in addressing drug issues both within the families and across the community.

This initiative emphasizes that effective drug abuse prevention and control efforts must begin at home. By fostering strong family connections and open communication, we can build a solid foundation for combating drug abuse and promoting healthier communities.
