In preparation for the workshop component of the activity, Chief of the Dangerous Drugs Board (DDB) – Policy Studies, Research, and Statistics Division, Mr. Michael Miatari, presented the 2027 Philippine Anti-Illegal Drugs Strategy Implementation Plan in compliance with Executive Order No. 66, Series of 2018, which directs all government agencies, GOCCs, and SUCs to implement PADS in accordance with their respective mandates.
The session also focused on the updating and refinement of agency roles and functions to ensure alignment with the enhanced PADS framework. Implementing agencies were encouraged to review their mandates, clarify specific contributions under the strategy, and strengthen convergence across the PADS pillars: Supply Reduction, Demand Reduction, and Health, Social, and Developmental services.
Technical guidance was likewise provided to PADS implementing agencies on the structured preparation of their implementation plans, including the articulation of project titles, descriptions, baselines, physical targets, and financial requirements.
The harmonization of roles, deliverables, and reporting requirements ensures that PADS programs are clearly positioned within the FY 2027 Budget Call and aligned with national priorities on drug prevention and control.
