On May 23-24, the Dangerous Drugs Board (DDB) conducted a seminar focusing on the Integration of Gender Development (GAD) Concepts to the Existing Drug-Related Programs of the DDB at Ciudad Christhia Resort, San Mateo, Rizal. Participants who attended in the seminar were from different Divisions and Units of the Dangerous Drugs Board. During the activity, attendees expressed their opinions, shared thoughts and suggestions regarding Gender Mainstreaming and GAD’s integration in the development of programs and project proposals.

The Resource Speaker invited to facilitate the discussion was Professor Ferdinand P. Gonzales, PhD. He is a certified member of the National GAD Resource Pool of the Philippine Commission on Women. Professor Gonzales discussed about topics on Gender Responsive Communication, Integrating Gender Lens in Project Proposal for GAD Fund Attribution, Orientation on GAD Planning and Budgeting, Orienatation on HDCG and GA GM. Included in the discussion was a structured process of brainstorming and information exchange in making project proposals from each division/units of the Dangerous Drugs Board with the integration of gender and development aspect in their respective program.
