The United Nations Joint Programme (UNJP) on the Protection and Promotion of Human Rights in the Philippines formally closes its 3-year program during the UNJP final steering committee meeting and closing event. The Dangerous Drugs Board, as the Co-Chair of Technical Working Group on the Human Rights-Based Approach to Drug Control (HRBA-Drugs TWG) highlighted the milestones and achievements of the TWG’s initiatives which help support the paradigm shift of the government towards a public health, social, and development-based approach to drugs.
The UNJP platform enhanced the collaboration among national government agencies, civil society organizations, academia, and other key sectors in championing the cause of human rights in drug control, ensuring a safe, healthier, and more equitable future for all.
