The Dangerous Drugs Board is led by a Chairman with the rank of Secretary and two Permanent Board Members with the rank of Undersecretary. The daily affairs of the Board is supervised by a Secretariat under the administrative control and supervision of the Executive Director, assisted by the Deputy Executive Director for Administration and Deputy Executive Director for Operations.

Directly under the Office of the Executive Director are special sections: the Media Affairs and Public Relations Unit, Internal Audit and Planning Units, Management Information System Unit, and the Conference Secretariat. It supervises four major divisions – Legal Affairs, Administrative and Financial Management, Preventive Education, Training and Information, and Policy Studies, Research and Statistics.
