As a testament to their sworn duty to serve and protect Filipino citizens, the Philippine National Police Regional Office 4-A proudly reaffirmed their Drug-free Office status with the Dangerous Drugs Board during the Kick-Off Ceremony of the 30th Police Community Relations (PCR) Month. This milestone served as a fitting start to the celebration focused on strengthening community ties through police-community engagement.
Secretary Oscar Valenzuela, Chairperson of the Dangerous Drugs Board, recognized the PNP as a steadfast partner in the implementation of DDB policies and programs, particularly in promoting preventive education, fostering community empowerment, and protecting the youth from the harms of illegal drug use and trafficking. The revalidated status of the PRO 4A’s Drug-Free Workplace reflects the PNP’s full commitment to the Dangerous Drugs Board Regulation No. 13, Series of 2018, which mandates all government agencies to adopt and implement Drug-Free Workplace Programs (DFWPs). These programs promote a safe, healthy, and productive workforce through mandatory drug testing, interventions, and information drives aligned with national directives.
This significant event not only underscored the PNP’s unwavering dedication to institutionalizing drug prevention efforts but also reinforced public trust and strengthened collaboration between the police force and the communities they serve.
In 2024, PNP Regional Office 4A became one of the first regional police offices to earn 100% Drug-Free Workplace distinction—a feat made possible through continuous advocacy, leadership support, and adherence to national drug policy standards.
