The Philippine National Police (PNP) recognized the appointment of Dangerous Drugs Board (DDB) Chairperson – Secretary Oscar Valenzuela as a member of the National Advisory Group for Police Transformation and Development (NAGPTD) during the oath-taking ceremony presided over by PNP Chief Jose Melencio C. Nartatez Jr., together with other newly appointed members of the advisory body drawn from government, civil society, and the private sector.
The ceremony formally welcomed the new members of the advisory group, whose oath signifies a shared commitment to integrity, transparency, and meaningful reforms that strengthen institutional governance and public trust. The NAGPTD serves as a strategic advisory body that provides independent insights and guidance in advancing the continuing transformation efforts of the PNP, supporting reform initiatives that strengthen professionalism, operational effectiveness, and public accountability, while helping ensure that law enforcement institutions remain responsive to the evolving security needs of the Filipino people.
Secretary Valenzuela’s participation in the advisory group reflects the importance of sustained collaboration among institutions working to promote public safety and community well-being. Through multi-sector engagement and shared expertise, such platforms contribute to broader national efforts that address public order concerns, including those related to drug prevention and control.
The DDB likewise recognizes PNP’s continued efforts to engage diverse partners in strengthening institutional reforms and fostering coordinated responses to community safety challenges. These collective initiatives contribute to the shared goal of building safer and healthier communities for all Filipinos.
