
In partnership with the Dangerous Drugs Board, the United Nations Office of Drugs and Crime – Regional Headquarters for Southeast Asia and the Pacific initiated a Coordination Meeting in Combating Illicit Drug Manufacture and Precursor Control involving key agencies in the anti-drug campaign. Mr. Reiner Pungs (Programme Manager for Drugs and Precursors) and Mr. John Wojcik (Associate Programme Officer on Transnational Crime) are in Manila for the important joint undertaking.
Secretary Catalino Cuy delivered the opening statement during the bilateral meeting and received the report containing information about Precursor Chemical Diversion, Trafficking and Control Frameworks in Southeast Asia, China and India: Developments, Status and Way Forward from the UNODC Regional Headquarters. Undersecretary-Executive Director Earl Saavedra, PDEA Chief of Staff (Director) Derrick Carreon and PDEA Service Directors were also present during the activity.
