


Deliberations during the meeting encompassed key areas such as strengthening PDEA’s regulatory functions in line with Republic Act 9165; registration and accreditation of detection dogs and their handlers providing narcotic detection services; authorizing PDEA to implement health orders by the Department of Health; and approval of campaign materials for the Drug Abuse Prevention Education and Advocacy. Â
Chairman Cuy also extended a warm welcome to the new ex-officio member of the Board, Secretary Ralph Recto of the Department of Finance. On the other hand, he also acknowledged the attendance of first-time participants, Undersecretary Adonis P. Sulit, CESO II from the Department of Social Welfare and Development, and Undersecretary Enrique A. Tayag, CESO III from the Department of Health.Â
