The Dangerous Drugs Board joined the National Youth Commission on their recently concluded Philippine Youth Development Index (PYDI) Forum last October 27, 2023.
The Forum aims to present initial results of the assessment of the PYDI, to identify the roles and programs of different agencies for youth development, and gather insights among participants for the finalization of PYD Indicators.
PYDI is a tool that will be used to measure the progress of the Philippine Youth Development Plan (PYDP) and to identify areas where further intervention is needed. PYDP, moreover, enjoins all state duty bearers at the national and local levels to maximize the participation of the youth in nation-building as responsible and proactive citizens.
As the lead policymaking and strategy-formulating body in drug prevention and control, the DDB leads the advocacy of promoting drug prevention and education among the young people.
Head of the Planning Unit, Ms. Corazon Ramarama and Training Specialist III, Ms. Edna Villavicencio represented the Dangerous Drugs Board during the event.
