The Philippine Government, through the Dangerous Drugs Board, sent a delegation to the 3rd Youth Network on Drug Prevention Programme spearheaded by the Office of the Narcotics Control Board of Thailand under Deputy Secretary General Thanakorn Khaiyananta. The program aims to encourage the participants to learn and exchange their knowledge and experiences on drug abuse prevention and control among ASEAN neighbors and appropriately apply what they have learned to contribute to the domestic anti-drug initiatives of their respective governments.
The program is composed of 40 youth representatives, 12 mentors, and 8 project staff who come from the 10 ASEAN Member-States and Timor Leste.
Attorney Jan Fredrick Cruz serves (the Mentor and Guide) and Jericho Emphasis (the youth leader from Davao City) represent the Philippine Delegation.
